It’s taken me a while to write this story. For two reasons:
First, I had such a fabulous time at Broome Cup that I didn’t really know where to start… so many stylish pictures to choose from and what do I chat about first?
Second, I’m so tired because I had such a fabulous time at Broome Cup.
Yep. First world problems. Hear the violins? They’re not for me.
So I decided to break it up into the four things I loved the most…
1. Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa Sunset Bar
It was literally the first thing I did after I dumped my hideously enormous suitcase in my room and was my favourite part of the day… everyday. The warm sun on my face, the icy cold G&T’s and the slow parade of camels returing from their beach rides each night. C-a-m-e-l-s!!
Claire (Detail Marketing Communications) and Nic totally loving the cocktails, sunshine… and camels.
Can’t go anywhere without my Zephyr kimono!
2. Pearls, Parade and Poolside Chic luncheon hosted by Hawaiian
Who doesn’t love great champagne, long poolside lunches and fabulous fashion and jewellery? Uh… yes please!!
I loved this lunch.
All the ladies in their relaxed tropical style is my idea of fashion crack. Add in delicious food, bubbles, a fashion parade and some Brazillian dancers and I am SOLD!
The ah-maze Mr Des Eddy styling the Pearls, Parade and Poolside Chic parade with Claremont Quarter fashions.
Many lucky gals, including myself, partnered their looks with a Broome accessory staple, Allure South Sea Pearls. I changed up my original fashion choice of a candy striped Manning Cartell number to a Phoebe Longwood original from her new and amazing high-end dress rental business ‘The Library Dress’.
See… big suitcase = options. CLEVER.
The fabulous ‘The Library Dress‘ design and Allure South Sea Pearls bracelet. Shoes by Terry Biviano and Ray-Ban sunnies.

3. The Broome Cup
I thought I was being cheeky and forward thinking in my monochrome ‘sexy detective’ look for the Broome Cup. But it appeared white and black were the colour choices du jour for this country racing knees-up!
As a lucky guest of the Allure South Sea Pearls marquee, the day was filled with so much fashion, my style-stalk camera was nearly smoking by the end of the day.
I highly recommend a good country race meet to everyone who has never experienced one before.
Nic working her best Dick Tracy. Ha!
Dress by Haute Hippie, St Saviours hat by Kate & Abel, Allure South Sea Pearls, Zu shoes and Ray-Bans.

4. Allure South Sea Pearls
I have never really been much of a pearls girl. I have a couple of strands that I was given a few years back, but always thought they were not for me.
I have unequivocally and totally changed my mind.
Stunning Allure South Sea Pearls necklace and earrings, with St Saviours hat by Kate & Abel.
I was extremely fortunate to be given the opportunity to wear some stunning pieces from Allure South Sea Pearls and have a new-found appreciation for them.
The week in Broome gave me an education in how these beauties are not just for ‘fancy-days’, they are for everyday. Think a casual black tee, boyfriend jeans, flats, beach hair and a stunning multi-strand…
Stay-tuned for my pearls styling story soon.
