Zephyr: Relaxed Glam

May 7 2014 by Nicole

Admission. I LOVE Elle Jennings. This fellow down-south chick is uber cool and one of the nicest ladies you’ll ever meet.

The fact that she also happens to be the talented designer behind Dunsborough based label Zephyr – which strips me of my hard earned clams every time it has a new line, is just the ice cream on the pie.

Bridget Lukin of Zest Flowers with Elle Jennings from Zephyr. Both labels share the store space at Fusion Blue, Dunsborough.

The relaxed label’s most popular pieces are the Road Trip Cami and Kimono and Elle says these with the Zephyr Onsie (one shoulder dress) are three pieces every girl should have on high rotation in her closet.

Our stylish pal Michelle modelling the Zephyr Kimono.

Elle’s love of fabric is how Zephyr came to be five years ago on a Hong Kong holiday. It’s also where she took her inspiration for the label’s name; Zephyr means ‘floaty fabric in a cool breeze’.

It started with one beautiful silk piece and has grown from there. The popularity of her designs speaks for itself with 90 per cent of Dunsborough boutique Fusion Blue now stocked with the Zephyr brand.

I was lucky enough to corner this stylish and busy mum of twins (Kobe and Saffi) and wife to Ken at the launch of her Autumn/Winter line to chat about Zephyr and what’s made the label resonate with so many people.

So what’s her three favourite Zephyr outfits?

Zephyr Slouchy Dress $149 with Tan Belt $49.95

So easy to dress up or down. Looks great by itself or belted up over jeans with a cami – my favourite style now.

Zephyr Mirage Top $99 with Zephyr Tube $79.95

Love the Mirage top with skinny jeans and my new Sergio Rossi black patient pumps. This top hides a multitude of sins and looks amazing.

I’d also wear the Zephyr Tube Skirt with a plain white tee and some Converse trainers. Easy breezy from school drop off to lunch with the girls.

Zephyr Lace Cami $79.95 and Sequin Skirt $99

Because they’re HOT.
