Where the bubbles are cold and the fillies are pretty.. image: Ryan Ammon
The sun was shining and the Veuve Clicquot was free flowing this year when TST hit The Cottesloe Beach Hotel for Melbourne Cup Day.
After a really cold Spring in Perth, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect at The Beach Club where the well heeled crowd enjoyed bubbles, delicious food and a fashion parade from one of our fave stores Boheme Luxe.
There were fantastic fresh shucked oysters on offer (we kept going back ‘for a friend’), salads and desserts to graze on throughout the day, which meant that no-one went home hungry…or too drunk!
If you’re looking for something to do with a big group of people next year, we highly recommend The Beach Club, the demographic runs slightly older, which we loved, everyone was well behaved and more importantly well dressed which we think shows respect to both the venue and traditions of Spring Racing.
This year Nic went for a white jumpsuit from Misha Collection and Bev wore a Sportsgirl lace pencil skirt with an off the shoulder number from Kookai, we both accessorised with fabulous head pieces from the incredibly talented DK Millinery.
We can’t wait for Melbourne Cup in Perth next year!
